CERAMIC PIGMENTS

Colour, Intensity and Durability

Ceramic pigments are inorganic substances, typically composed of metallic oxides or mixtures of these, combined in crystalline structures, with the main types being rutile, spinel, and red lead. Made from various mixtures of oxides, ceramic pigments are obtained by high-temperature calcination of mineral raw materials such as carbonates or silicates of heavy metals. Depending on the oxides present in the different crystalline structures, a wide range of colors can be achieved.
